Michael McDonald In Two News

There are two hot news in topic Michael McDonald. Firstly, Michael Donald related with football. Secondly, Micahel McDonald in topic music, sepcially, Michael Donald wiil performa the National Anthem, Fiesta Bowl. Will you read this news...

First News : By the time I realized the Fiesta Bowl was being played on FOX, it was already too late to back out of covering this game. The discerning college football fan’s least favorite network’s infamously careless camera work has been counteracted early and immutably, however, and FOX may have won the heart of the nation in the process by trotting out yacht rock hero Michael McDonald to sing the national anthem.

Sure, the shots of the band will outweigh shots of actual football, the booth announcers are so close to the camera they appear to be starring in a hostage video, and John Cena is flipping the coin this very moment. But nothing can pierce the gentle cocoon of dulcet baritone warbling I’ve been swaddled in. And nothing in the pageantry of Thursday's title game, including the game itself, can possibly compare. Game over, man. Game over.

Seconde news : Today (January 4), vocalist Michael McDonald will perform the National Anthem at the 2010 Fiesta Bowl at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ. The game will air on the FOX network at 8 p.m. ET, 5 p.m. PT. Since 1998 the Fiesta Bowl has been part of the Bowl Championship Series. The 2010 Fiesta Bowl pits No. 4 TCU against No. 6 Boise State. It has the distinction of being the first BCS game featured unbeaten teams who are not competing for the national championship.

No. 1 ranked Alabama will play No. 2 Texas in the BCS National Championship Game on Thursday (January 7) at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

In February and March, McDonald will be touring Australia and New Zealand with co-headliner Boz Scaggs. He also has solo shows in Hawaii on March 11 and March 12.
